On July 30, 2026, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Committee held its 10th Meeting under the chairmanship of Comrade Tran Sy Thanh, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee. At the Meeting, the Central Inspection Committee considered and concluded on some of the following contents:
1. Considering the Report proposing disciplinary action against violating party members at the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee; the Central Inspection Committee found:
- Comrade Nguyen Van Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Bac Ninh province, former Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, former Secretary of the Viet Yen District Party Committee, former Bac Giang province (old) has declined in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned responsibilities and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing very serious consequences, very badly affecting the prestige of Party organizations and localities, agencies, and working units, to the extent that disciplinary action must be taken.
* Considering the content, nature, severity, consequences, and causes of violations; based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee proposed competent authorities to consider and discipline comrade Nguyen Van Dung.
2. Consider the results of inspections when there are signs of violations and the results of self-criticism, consider and propose disciplinary action against the Party Cell of the Writers' Association Publishing House for the term 2025 - 2027 and some related party members; The Central Inspection Committee found:
- The Party Committee of the Vietnam Writers' Association Agency for the term 2025 - 2030 is irresponsible, lacks leadership and direction, lacks inspection and supervision so that the Vietnam Writers' Association does not properly perform the responsibilities of the managing agency of the Publishing House; The Publishing House Party Cell violates working regulations, does not properly implement the Party's guidelines and regulations and the State's laws on publishing activities; many cadres and party members have declined in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle; violating the Party's regulations and the State's laws in performing assigned responsibilities and tasks; violating regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.
The above violations have caused serious consequences, adversely affecting the prestige of the Party organization and unit, to the extent that disciplinary action must be taken.
- If the above-mentioned violations and shortcomings occur, personal responsibility belongs to the comrades: (1) Nguyen Quang Thieu, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers' Association; (2) Dao Ba Doan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Cell, Deputy Director - Editor-in-Chief of the Writers' Association Publishing House; (3) Nguyen Thuy Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Director of the Writers' Association Publishing House; (4) Nguyen Van Yen, Head of the Editorial Department of the Writers' Association Publishing House and a number of other party organizations and party members.
Considering the content, nature, severity, consequences, and causes of violations; based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decides:
(1) Expelling from the Party comrades: Dao Ba Doan, Nguyen Thuy Hang, Nguyen Van Yen.
(2) Dismissal of all positions in the Party of comrade Nguyen Quang Thieu.
(3) Warning: Party Committee of the Vietnam Writers' Association Agency for the term 2025 - 2030, Party Cell of the Writers' Association Publishing House for the term 2025 - 2027.
(4) Request a number of Party organizations to review, inspect, consider, and handle relevant Party organizations and Party members, and report the results to the Central Inspection Committee.
3. Also at this Meeting, the Central Inspection Committee considered and concluded on a number of other important contents.
