Up to this point, many schools have announced the holiday schedule for Hung Kings Commemoration Day (March 10th of the lunar calendar), Southern Liberation Day April 30th and International Labor Day May 1st.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade gives students a holiday from April 25 to the end of May 3.
According to the school's announcement, the Hung Kings Commemoration Day (March 10th of the lunar calendar) this year falls on Sunday (April 26th), so the school arranges a compensatory holiday on Monday (April 27th). For the April 30th and May 1st holidays, the whole school is off from Thursday (April 30th) to the end of Friday (May 1st).
However, based on the training progress, the school decided to arrange two more days off, Tuesday (April 28) and Wednesday (April 29). Therefore, if including weekend days off, students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade may have continuous leave from April 25 to the end of May 3.
Similarly, Gia Dinh University also gave students a holiday from April 26 to May 3. If including the previous weekend, many students could take a full 9-day break and return to school from May 4.
Saigon International University also applied the extended holiday option from April 25 to May 3, equivalent to 9 consecutive days.
Meanwhile, instead of choosing to combine holidays to extend continuous holidays, some other universities divide them into two separate phases.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry allows students 2 days off for the Hung Kings Commemoration Day (April 26 and 27) and 4 days off on April 30 and May 1 (from April 30 to May 3), proactively arranging supplementary study schedules, without affecting the training progress.
University of Science (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City) is also divided into 2 phases: Hung Kings Commemoration Festival (from April 25 to April 27), April 30 and May 1 holidays, 4 consecutive days off (from April 30 to May 3).
The University of Science said that it will implement the conversion of learning forms or overtime teaching for lesson modules in 3 school days, including Tuesday (April 28), Wednesday (April 29) and Saturday (May 2).
