Dak Lak Department of Education and Training: Students writing an application for reservation of results is against regulations

Đắk Lắk |

Dak Lak - The Department of Education and Training has responded to the information that "many 12th graders were forced to write applications for school dismissal and reserved the results".

On May 12, the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province informed that the unit had reported to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee the results of verifying press information reflecting the case of many 12th grade students at Cao Ba Quat High School (Buon Ma Thuot city) being forced to write applications for leave from school and reserving the results.

Through the verification results, in the 2024-2025 school year, many students have asked to reserve their academic results. The content of the reflection of asking to reserve the learning results of the students that the press reported was true.

In addition, the verification team of the provincial Department of Education and Training also worked with homeroom teachers, school principals and related parties.

The Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province believes that Circular No. 32/2020/TT-BGDDT dated September 15, 2020 of the Ministry of Education and Training on promulgating the Charter of junior high schools, high schools and high schools at many levels does not have regulations on reserving students' learning results.

However, the homeroom teacher of the school advised the students to write a request to reserve their learning results. This has led to students writing applications for reservation of their academic results that are not in accordance with regulations.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province, the application for reservation of students' learning results with confirmation from the homeroom teacher and confirmation from the principal is not in accordance with current regulations.

The responsibility belongs to homeroom teachers for students to write a request for reservation of learning results and the principal confirms in the reservation.

As Lao Dong reported, many 12th grade students at Cao Ba Quat High School (Buon Ma Thuot city) have submitted applications to reserve their results after being invited by the school to discuss.

Ms. H.M.B - H.G.B's mother - confirmed that on April 15, after receiving the mid-term test results, the homeroom teacher invited B and his parents to meet the principal.

After being discussed by the principal, student B was upset and wrote a resignation letter, reserving the results. Meanwhile, there are more than 2 months left until B starts taking the high school graduation exam.

After that, Ms. H.M.B went to school to meet the principal and asked to let her child go to school again. However, Ms. B's wish was rejected by the principal for many different reasons.

Meanwhile, a representative of Cao Ba Quat High School confirmed that in the 2024 - 2025 school year, 16 12th graders wrote applications for school dismissal or to reserve their results. The students wrote the petition voluntarily, not forced.
