On the morning of June 8, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training held a conference to inform about the results of the organization of the entrance exam for grade 10 of Hanoi's non-professional public high school, school year 2025 - 2026.
Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said that this year, according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the announcement of the results of the 10th grade exam score and the admission benchmark must be at the same time.
According to the plan of the Department of Education and Training, from June 9 to June 22, the Exam Scoring Council of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will conduct multiple-choice test scoring.

From June 11 to June 22, the council will rate the thesis exam.
From July 4 to July 6, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will announce the test scores of candidates' subjects on the Department's Electronic Information Portal and the city's Upper-level Admissions Portal.
Also during this period, the Department will announce the benchmark scores of the schools.
From July 7 to July 9, schools will return documents and application formats for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year to students.
Before July 10, schools will receive students' appeal applications, submit the appeal applications and the list of students to the Department of Education and Training.
From July 10 to July 12, high schools, vocational education centers - continuing education, and vocational education institutions will organize admission confirmation.
On July 17, the Department of Education and Training and specialized high schools and public high schools will meet to approve additional admission scores to public grade 10 (if any).

From July 19 to July 22, schools will organize admission confirmation and receive additional admission applications (if any).
One of the notable new points in this year's 10th grade admission exam is instead of multiplying the coefficient by 2 for Math and Literature as in previous years; in 2025, the admission score will be the total score of 3 subjects: Math, Literature, Foreign Language.
Each subject is calculated on a scale of 10 and does not multiply coefficient. This calculation method aims to ensure fairness between subjects, encouraging students to study all subjects equally.
The formula for calculating admission scores (DXT) for grade 10 non-professional public high school in Hanoi in 2025 is as follows:
dXT = Math score + Literature score + Foreign language score + priority score (if any) + incentive score (if any).
According to the report of the Department of Education and Training, the whole city has 201 exam locations with 4,411 non-professional exam rooms, 201 reserve exam rooms; no staff consider the exam as violating regulations. The number of candidates registered for the exam is 102,423 out of a total of 102,860, reaching a rate of 99.57%.
Thus, the number of candidates absent from the Foreign Language exam is 437 students. No candidates violated the exam regulations.
The number of candidates who need support to do the test is 12 candidates due to health problems and medical support. Assessing the situation at the exam locations, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that as of 10:00 a.m. on June 8, the exam locations in the city were taking place normally, safely, seriously, and in accordance with exam regulations.
