The Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ho Chi Minh City said that recently, there has been a situation where some subjects impersonate enrollment staff of departments, schools or enrollment support teams to contact parents to collect personal information or provide false information about first-year enrollment.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training affirmed that the Department and schools and enrollment teams do not proactively call parents directly to discuss early enrollment for any reason.
All official admission information will be publicly announced on the official website at https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn and the websites of schools, or sent in official documents through the school.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training recommends that parents be especially vigilant when someone calls to request personal information of students or parents, especially bank account information, OTP codes or unofficial fees.
When there are any questions about enrollment, parents should contact the school and homeroom teachers directly.
Recently, Hiep Binh High School (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) also issued an urgent notice to parents and 12th graders of the entire school about being vigilant against scams related to high school graduation exam registration in 2025.
This school said that some parents and 12th graders received messages and calls from strangers, informing parents and students that they needed to adjust their students' registration information by following the request to update the strange link and then losing money in their personal accounts.
Hiep Binh High School recommends that parents and students do not follow the requests of strangers.
