The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) has just issued a notice to suspend circulation and recall nationwide for the Hanayuki Sunscreen Body - Box of 100 gram 1 type for violating regulations on labeling and product quality.
The batch of suspended products has information stated on the label: receipt number of declaration form 779/24/CBMP-DN, batch number: 0010125, date of manufacture: 06.01.2025, expiration date: 05/1/2027. The product is sponsored by VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited (address: Dai Thanh Binh Scable High Floor, No. 911-917 Nguyen Trai, Ward 14, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City) and is produced by EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company (address: Giang Dien Industrial Park, Trang Bom District, Dong Nai Province).
According to the testing conclusion of the Ho Chi Minh City Drug Testing Institute on April 28, 2025, the sun protection index (SPF) is recorded on the product label that SPF 50 is not consistent with the actual test results (SPF 2.4). According to the product announcement dossier has been granted by the Dong Nai Department of Health, the use of the product does not mention the SPF 50 index as stated on the label.
Based on current legal regulations, the Drug Administration requires: Suspend circulation and nationwide recall of the above product batch due to violations of product quality and label information.
Request the Departments of Health of provinces and cities to notify businesses and cosmetic users to immediately stop trading, using and recalling this product lot. At the same time, supervise the recovery and handling of violations in accordance with regulations.
Request VB Group Company and EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company to urgently notify, receive, and recall all unQualified products. In case the violation cannot be remedied, the product must be destroyed according to the law. The revocation report must be sent to the Department of Drug Administration before June 15, 2025.
The Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City and the Department of Health of Dong Nai are responsible for supervising and checking the recovery as well as complying with the cosmetic production and trading regulations of the two enterprises. The results of inspection and supervision must be reported to the Drug Administration before June 30, 2025.
The notice was issued to ensure the safety of consumers and enhance the effectiveness of cosmetic quality management in the market.
