The entrance exam for grade 10 regular school year 2025-2026 in Ho Chi Minh City has been completed with 3 subjects: Math, Literature and English.
At the end of the exam, many teachers and students take the exam to evaluate the exam closely with the illustration that has been announced by the Department of Education and Training (Education and Training) in Ho Chi Minh City, in accordance with the 2018 Education Program requirements. The exam is somewhat easier to breathe compared to the previous year.
In Literature, teacher Vo Kim Bao - Literature teacher at Nguyen Du Secondary School (District 1) commented that the exam has a wide coverage of content to comprehensively test the knowledge that students have learned in the Literature 9 program in particular and the Literature program at the secondary school level in general.
The questions do not force students to study at heart but require real skills and abilities in solving the problem that the test is given. Thanks to that, students can demonstrate their independent and creative thinking ability without having to learn from their parents.
The exam is highly differentiated, clearly demonstrated in question 1d (understanding social life), question 2 part 1 (literary experience, language proficiency and creativity), question 2 part 2 (understanding social life).
According to teacher Vo Kim Bao, in this year's exam, students who are average and study on target (developing qualities and abilities) can achieve at least 6.5 to 7 points. Students with good knowledge can achieve 8 points or more.
For English, Ms. Hoai Thu - English teacher at Tuyensinh247 said that the exam questions are not difficult or challenging for students, but require students to have a firm grasp of the knowledge of grammar and words, as well as how to apply them in daily life situations. There is a reasonable differentiation between levels of recognition, understanding and application.
"Students with average strength will achieve 5-5.75 points; academic performance can be quite good at 6-7.5 points. A score of 8 points or more is for excellent and excellent students," Ms. Hoai Thu shared.
As for Math, Mr. Dang Hoang Du (a Math teacher in Ho Chi Minh City) said that the questions are still quite familiar, closely following the published sample exam structure. However, the exam is still very differentiated according to the requirements of an entrance exam.
"The number of students achieving 10 points is still not much, but it will be better than last year. The advantage of 5-7 points will account for the majority. The number of tests below 5 points will decrease, no longer accounting for the same large proportion as last year," Mr. Du predicted.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that the judging panel will start working from today (June 8). The official judging will take place over 6 days, from June 11-16.
After completing the judging, on June 18-20, the judging panel will conduct a review, comparing the exam results with computer data.
It is expected that from June 23-26, the department will announce the exam scores and the benchmark scores for grade 10 in 2025.
