In 2025, the entrance exam for grade 10 public high school will take place on June 6-7.
Candidates will take 3 subjects: Math, Literature (120 minutes/subject) and Foreign Language (90 minutes, according to foreign language 1 being studied at school). Candidates who register for a specialized school or integrated class will take an additional exam in a specialized subject or equivalent integrated (150 minutes).
This year, Ho Chi Minh City has more than 76,000 students out of a total of about 88,000 students in grade 9 registered to take the public grade 10 entrance exam. The total enrollment target of public high schools is more than 70,000 students.
