Caring for the cause of promoting education and talent
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Nguyen Minh Chau, Chairwoman of the Lang Son Provincial Association for Promoting Education, said that localities in the province are actively consolidating the grassroots association system, promoting education promotion, talent promotion, and building a learning society.
According to the Provincial Association for Promoting Education, from the beginning of the year to now, the provincial education promotion fund has received nearly 2.3 billion VND from agencies, units, businesses and philanthropists inside and outside the province.
This is an important resource to support students in difficult circumstances and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in their studies.
In the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Association for Promoting Education awarded scholarships and Tet gifts to 60 students; awarded scholarships to 65 ethnic minority children who overcame difficulties and studied well to participate in the 10th Provincial Children's Summer Camp; supported students to participate in startup competitions, scientific and technical research and national excellent students with a total budget of nearly 100 million VND.
In addition, the association continues to coordinate with the education sector to monitor the activities of community learning centers at the grassroots level; participate in training in "Learning Citizen" assessment software; maintain the effectiveness of the electronic information page to spread the lifelong learning movement in the community.
According to Ms. Nguyen Minh Chau, in the coming time, the Provincial Association for Promoting Education will continue to promote digital transformation in the association system.
The Association will implement programs to build a learning society, and at the same time mobilize resources to strive for the provincial education promotion fund to reach 20,000 - 25,000 VND/person.
Exciting conference to encourage education in communes
One of the highlights of the education promotion movement in Lang Son in 2026 is the consolidation of association organizations at the commune level after the district level is no longer there.
In June alone, many localities successfully organized the 1st Congress of the Association for Promoting Education, term 2026 - 2031.
In Cao Loc commune, the congress elected an Executive Committee of 9 members; Ms. Be Kim Anh was trusted to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Commune Association for Promoting Education.
In Na Sam commune, the congress gathered 59 delegates representing branches, learned clans and typical individuals. The new Executive Committee consists of 15 members. Meanwhile, Vu Lang commune has established an Executive Committee of 15 members.
In Cong Son commune, the first promotion of education association was established with more than 1,300 members registered to participate right from the beginning of the term, showing the strong spread of the promotion of education movement at the grassroots level.
At the congresses, leaders of the Provincial Association for Promoting Education all emphasized the task of continuing to build models of "Learning Families", "Learning Clans", "Learning Community", "Learning Units" and "Learning Citizens"; and at the same time promote socialization to build scholarship funds and support poor students to overcome difficulties.
Ms. Nguyen Minh Chau said that the organization of commune-level congresses is being implemented urgently, ensuring compliance with regulations and in accordance with the new organizational model.
After completing congresses in localities, the Lang Son Provincial Association for Promoting Education plans to organize the Congress of Delegates of the Provincial Association for Promoting Education for the 2026 - 2031 term in August, creating a foundation for continuing to strongly develop the movement of promoting education and talent in the area in the new period.
