Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau has just signed Decision No. 691/QD-TTg dated April 16, 2026 establishing the Branch of the Academy of Finance in Hung Yen province on the basis of the University of Finance - Business Administration.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Minister of Education and Training and the Minister of Finance to be responsible for directing the Academy of Finance and the University of Finance - Business Administration to carry out the handover and receipt of personnel, finance, assets, and learners of the University of Finance - Business Administration in accordance with regulations.
The handover and receipt process must ensure normal operation, legitimate and lawful rights and interests of learners, teachers, management officials, staff, and related parties, and prevent negativity, loss, and waste of finance and assets.
The above decision takes effect from April 16, 2026.
According to the Academy of Finance, the establishment of the Academy of Finance Branch in Hung Yen is a correct policy, in accordance with Resolution 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthrough development of education and training and Planning of the network of higher education and pedagogy for the period 2021-2023, vision to 2050.
This meets the socio-economic development goals of Hung Yen province and the Red River Delta region; contributing to reducing the number of public non-business units under the Ministry of Finance, effectively using human resources and facilities, and at the same time increasing investment in important resources for a higher education institution with a strong brand and better development potential.
The branch of the Academy of Finance in Hung Yen creates more opportunities for learning, graduation and degrees from one of the most prestigious universities for a large number of students in Hung Yen province and localities in the Red River Delta region; strengthening cooperation with units in the area in research and community service.
