On August 24, the Ministry of Public Security announced the decision to establish the People's Police Culture School IV in Tay Ninh province, opening up opportunities for studying and boarding for children in difficult circumstances, disadvantaged children and children of ethnic minorities in the Southeast region.
The school is located at 123 Truong Chinh Street, Tan Ninh Ward, Tay Ninh Province, on the premises of the old Tay Ninh Provincial Police headquarters. This is a facility converted to serve teaching and learning. The school grounds are 5.6ha wide, with a total initial investment of more than 400 billion VND.
After nearly a month of construction, many items at the facility have been renovated to be ready to welcome students. The 3-story building of the Dossier Department has been converted into a dormitory combined with learning. The 9-story building has been renovated into 11 classrooms, along with a system of laboratories, computer science, foreign languages, music, fine arts and library.
The total cost of renovation and repair is about 4.8 billion VND, of which construction costs are about 4.4 billion VND, and consulting costs are about 400 million VND. Tay Ninh Provincial Police spent nearly 1 billion VND more to buy beds, tables, chairs, textbooks and kitchen equipment.
According to the announced decision, the People's Police Culture School IV is added to the organizational structure of Tay Ninh Provincial Police.
On the same occasion, the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ninh province announced the decision to establish the Culture Boarding Primary, Secondary, and High School of the People's Police IV.
In the 2026-2027 school year, the school meets the learning and living needs of 115 students along with a team of teachers and management staff. The priority enrollment targets are children in difficult circumstances, disadvantaged children and children of ethnic minorities in provinces and cities in the Southeast region. Teachers are selected from the police force and the education sector of localities in the region.The school was established under Project No. 01-DA/DUCA dated May 15, 2026 of the Central Public Security Party Committee on organizing People's Police Cultural Schools, to concretize Plan No. 22-KH/DUCA dated February 13, 2026 on police work associated with ensuring social security in the period 2026-2030.
At the announcement ceremony, the school was additionally awarded 1 foreign language classroom, 1 information technology classroom and 1 smart library room. The Minister of Public Security awarded certificates of merit to 3 individuals; Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 1 individual with achievements in building the school. The ceremony closed with the opening ceremony and planting of a memorial tree.
