Successfully implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress of the Ministry of Education and Training for the 2020-2025 term
On August 21, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.
Comrade Le Thanh Long, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister attended and gave a speech at the congress. Also attending the congress were Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training and 162 party members representing 30 Party cells and affiliated Party committees.
Speaking at the opening of the congress, Party Secretary and Minister Nguyen Kim Son said: the congress is of special significance, setting out strategic orientations for the education and training sector to continue to innovate, improve quality, meet the requirements of developing high-quality human resources, contributing to the realization of the country's socio-economic development goals in the 2025-2030 term and the next period.
The Minister acknowledged that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training has successfully implemented the Resolution of the Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, achieving many important and quite comprehensive results with many outstanding marks. However, there are still limitations in leadership, direction, and management, difficulties and inadequacies.
With the motto of discipline, creativity, breakthrough, and development, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training continues to promote the spirit of creativity, breakthrough, joining hands, and being unanimous, identifying the highest political determination in comprehensively and comprehensively implementing the goals of the Resolution of the First Party Congress, term 2025-2030; striving to be creative, confident, and steadfast in the new era of national development.
Creating a breakthrough in the new term
On behalf of the Government Party Committee, speaking at the congress, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long assessed: The 2020 - 2025 term is a challenging and fluctuating period; rapid and complicated developments in the world and regional situation have greatly affected our country in all fields, including education and training.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long emphasized that education and training are the top national policy, playing a particularly important and fundamental role in the formation and development of people; is the most important factor in ensuring the success of human resource development, especially high-quality human resources to serve the country's rapid and sustainable development, especially in innovating the growth model and realizing the breakthrough decisions of the Party that have been and will be issued.
Accordingly, the education sector in general and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training in particular need to continue to be united, proactive, courageous, and innovate more strongly to complete the set goals.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted a number of contents, notably the summary and comprehensive assessment of the implementation of innovation of general education programs and textbooks to adjust and perfect the General Education Program in accordance with the set goals and requirements, especially after implementing the arrangement of administrative units and local government organizations at 2 levels.
In addition, it is necessary to continue reviewing, amending and promptly supplementing institutions, mechanisms and policies on education and training innovation, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of education;
Continue to implement autonomy associated with improving the quality of university training in a practical, in-depth manner, associated with the responsibility of explanation, publicity and transparency;
Continue to review and plan the network of preschool, general education, continuing education, disability education, higher education and pedagogical colleges;
Develop, review, amend and supplement appropriate policies and treatment regimes for teachers;
Strengthening the building and rectification of a clean and strong Party in all aspects; continuing to improve the political will and fighting spirit of the Party organization, Party members, etc.
At the congress, the Government Party Committee announced the Decision to appoint the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training, consisting of 29 comrades, appointing the Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training, term I, 2025-2030. Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son was appointed as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training for the 2025-2030 term.
