Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau has just signed Decision No. 946/QD-TTg on merging the College of Economics - Technical Trade into the Electric Power University under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to direct relevant agencies and units to carry out the handover and acceptance of learners, personnel, finance, and assets of the College of Economic - Technical Trade into the Electric Power University under the Ministry of Industry and Trade in accordance with regulations; ensure normal operation, legitimate rights and interests of relevant parties, and prevent negativity, loss, and waste of finance and assets in the merger process.
The Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Industry and Trade are responsible for the Electric Power University continuing to train and grant degrees to students studying at the College of Economic - Technical Trade according to regulations, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of learners.
Previously, the Prime Minister had decided to merge the Southern Law College (under the Ministry of Justice) into Can Tho University (under the Ministry of Education and Training).
In Decision 806, the Prime Minister decided to merge the Northern College of Law (under the Ministry of Justice) into the University of Science - Thai Nguyen University.
