On June 12, the VNU-HCM Competency Assessment Council met and approved the results of the second round of the 2025 exam.
VNU-HCM said that in the second phase of 2025, a total of 92,246 candidates will take the exam in 34 exam clusters and 80 exam locations in 11 provinces and cities.
In both rounds of the 2025 competency assessment test, 152,792 candidates took the exam, equivalent to 223,179 entries.
Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh - Director of the National Assembly - Ho Chi Minh City Training Quality Assessment and Testing Center - said that the scoring distribution of the second round of 2025 is similar to the standard distribution, with a wide range of points, tending to deviate slightly compared to the first round.
According to Mr. Chinh, the reason for this change is that out of the total number of candidates taking the second round, more than 65,000 candidates have taken the first round. This is a group of candidates with good or better abilities, with a score in the first round higher than the general level.
In addition, the second round takes place about two months after the first round, candidates have more time to review and consolidate their knowledge. At the same time, due to the experience in the first round, candidates have more experience in doing research, have time management skills, and have a better classroom mentality, so the test results are improved.
The electronic exam results certificate will be issued from June 23.
VNU-HCM said that currently, more than 110 higher education institutions have registered to use the results of the competency assessment exam for admission in 2025.
