75 years of Party membership, 3 times met Uncle Ho
In the historic autumn days, we went to Hong Linh village, Giai Lac commune, Nghe An province. There, there is a 75-year-old loyal Party member Nguyen Thi Thuc, who has had the honor of meeting Uncle Ho three times.

This fall, loyal party member Nguyen Thi Thuc has turned 106. Another emotional National Day, the sacred memories of meeting Uncle Ho through his story are still intact like a slow-motion film.

The first time Nguyen Thi Thuc met Uncle Ho was in 1956, at the National Emulation Fighters' Congress. This time, I am honored to be invited by Uncle Ho to answer questions and also an opportunity to express my thoughts and wishes to visit my hometown Yen Thanh.
She still clearly remembers: At that time, I was wearing a silver Kaoski dress, a gentle but warm and approachable voice. During that meeting, Uncle Ho asked me: "Where are you from?". When he learned that Nguyen Thi Thuc was from Nghe An, he was very happy.
Also at this Congress, loyal party member Nguyen Thi Thuc was honored to be one of the few delegates awarded the Badge by Uncle Ho.

Telling about the times they met Uncle Thuc, Mr. Thuc just found his badge awarded by Uncle Ho at the National Emulation Fighter Congress (1965). That time being awarded the Badge of a Human, he still remembered Ms. Toan in Vinh Linh; Ms. Lan in Thach Ha (Ha Tinh); Mr. Hoang Anh, a Catholic in Nam Dan (Nghe An) ... For his achievements in doing a good job of providing food for the battlefield to fight the enemy.
The second time meeting Uncle Ho on the occasion He visited the children from the South who gathered in the North. At that time, Mr. Thuc was a student at the "Three Assurance" School in the capital and was taken by a teacher to meet Uncle Ho in the whole class.
Thuc's voice fell down, eyes wide wide: "The last time I met Uncle Ho was when he visited the people in Vinh Thanh commune in 1961". For Mr. Thuc, this was the first time he met Uncle Thuc and he had too many emotions. The image of Uncle Ho has been deeply imprinted and cannot be erased in the memory of loyal party member Nguyen Thi Thuc.
At that time, Mr. Nguyen Thi Thuc was a District Party Committee member of Yen Thanh District. On the occasion of visiting Vinh Thanh Cooperative, he visited the people's houses first. He visited families in difficulty and asked about each situation. On the way, Uncle Ho stopped at the house of a mother and child in the commune on the side of the road. Uncle took the rice and egg packages to take to eat with his family. When he returned to the commune headquarters, Uncle Ho refused the local rice invitation and explained: "You have eaten".
A shining mirror
During 30 years of revolutionary activities (1945 - 1975), Mr. Nguyen Thi Thuc wholeheartedly devoted herself to the revolution. When retiring, the memories of meeting Uncle Ho became a valuable document for the loyal party member Nguyen Thi Thuc to tell and educate her children and grandchildren, fostering more patriotism.

Ms. Doan Thi Thai, Mr. Thuc's first daughter, shared: "We are very happy to be born into a family with a rich tradition. My mother has been a Party member for more than 75 years, but more importantly, my mother was honored to have met Uncle Ho 3 times. In the house, the Honours, Medals, and Badges of the mother are solemnly hung, like a treasure".
Ms. Thai added that although her mother is old, every holiday, especially the Lunar New Year, when her children and grandchildren return home in winter, she tells them about the times she meets Uncle Ho. I also read poems about Uncle Ho and his great spring victory for the whole family to listen to. After telling each story, each poem, her mother reminded us: "Living worthy of Uncle Ho's teachings; you must study well, live well and have ideals to build and protect the Fatherland".
Talking about the loyal party member Nguyen Thi Thuc, Mr. Duong Xuan Luan - Secretary of the Party Cell of Hong Linh Hamlet, Giai Lac Commune is proud: "Comrade Nguyen Thi Thuc is a shining example of morality, lifestyle and loyalty to the Party and Uncle Ho. His children and grandchildren all live in harmony, some are doctors, some are teachers, commune officials... all are fluent in the teachings of him and Uncle Ho".
