Candidate P.D. D asked: In which cases are admission results preserved?
The Ministry of Education and Training answers this question as follows:
Clause 1, Article 10 of the Enrollment Regulations for training majors at the university level and preschool education majors at the college level in Circular No. 06/2026/TT-BGDDT dated February 15, 2026 of the Minister of Education and Training stipulates the cases where admission results can be preserved as follows:

Article 10. Conserve admission results
1. Candidates who have a passing notice can have their passing results preserved in the following cases:
a) Going on military service, serving in the People's Police or joining youth volunteers immediately in the year of admission according to the decision or order of the competent authority;
b) Being seriously ill or having a serious accident and unable to enroll on time, having a medical record and confirmation from a basic level hospital or higher".
Thus, the preservation of admission results will be carried out according to specific conditions (usually related to military service, natural disasters, epidemics or force majeure reasons) to ensure the legitimate rights of candidates.
Regarding the preservation period, points 2, point 3, Article 10 of the Enrollment Regulations stipulate:
2. Candidates who are subject to the provisions of Clause 1 send an application for preservation along with supporting documents to the training institution to call for admission. The maximum time for preserving results is prescribed by the training institution, but not exceeding 36 months for the person specified in Clause 1 of this Article.
3. Immediately after meeting the conditions to return to school, the person whose admission results are preserved must carry out enrollment procedures according to the regulations of the training institution, in which they must provide evidence that they have completed the task or have been treated and recovered. For cases specified in point a, clause 1 of this Article with a preservation period of 36 months, the Principal of the training institution shall consider introducing them to pre-university schools and classes for review before officially enrolling.
