According to the school, potential candidates who are of interest and attracted include:
Candidates are allowed to participate in the national team selection exam to participate in regional and international Olympic exams. This group is considered for direct admission to the high-quality training system (group 1).
Candidates who win First, Second, and Third prizes in the national excellent student selection exam. They are directly admitted to training majors suitable to the school's enrollment plan; among which the most suitable are the pedagogical bachelor's programs that coincide with the specialized subject of the team that the candidates participated in (group 2).
Candidates who won consolation prizes in the national excellent student selection exam (group 3).
The remaining members of the team participate in the national excellent student exam (group 4).

For groups of candidates 3 and 4, they can submit applications according to the second admission method, for candidates with outstanding achievements and abilities.
In order to show the spirit of receptiveness and attract talents to contribute to the cause of education, the Rector of Hanoi National University of Education sent an invitation letter specifically to each student who won an award from Consolation or higher.
In the official dispatch sent to high schools nationwide, the school clearly stated: "Members of the teams are not only the pride of families, teachers, friends and beloved schools, but also suitable candidates to be trained to become future educators, continuing to contribute to the education sector in the work of training high-quality human resources, meeting the requirements of the era of national rise.
At the same time, the school proposed that high schools publicly announce the list of students invited specifically, considering this as a measure to set a bright example in learning.
In 2026, Hanoi National University of Education is expected to enroll 6,065 students for 58 majors and training programs. In which, the school opens 8 new majors, including: Education (Education and Communication), Sports Training, Geography (Geographics of Resources and Environment), Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Chemistry (Chemistry and Pharmacy), International Studies, French Language (Applied French and International Communication).
The school applies three similar admission methods to last year: Admission of students with outstanding abilities and achievements; consideration of SPT competency assessment exam scores organized by the school; and consideration of high school graduation exam scores.
Students studying pedagogy majors, if committed to working in the education sector after graduation, will be 100% supported by the State for tuition fees and provided with 3.63 million VND/month for living expenses.
