Seniority allowance is an issue of concern for many teachers. This is not only an additional monthly income, but also a recognition of teachers' contributions to the education sector.
Therefore, issues related to teacher allowances such as: How to calculate allowances, the time to receive seniority allowances, etc. are always of concern to many teachers.
In which, there is a question from Mr. N.A.D (Vinh Phuc) sent to the Ministry of Education and Training. Mr. D has been a contract teacher since October 2018, with compulsory insurance.
In October 2020, he was recruited as a teacher, code V.07.02.26, and was exempted from probation and paid insurance according to regulations.
Mr. D asked: "Is it correct that I have not been considered for seniority allowances for teachers? Is the time spent participating in contract teaching with social insurance contributions included in the seniority allowance consideration period? If I am considered, will my trial be in October 2022 or October 2023?
The Ministry of Education and Training responded to this issue on the Government Electronic Information Portal as follows:
The seniority allowance regime for teachers is implemented according to the provisions of Decree No. 77/2021/ND-CP dated August 1, 2021 of the Government.
Accordingly, teachers participating in teaching and education who have paid compulsory social insurance for 5 years (60 months) are entitled to seniority allowances equal to 5% of their current salary plus leadership position allowances and seniority allowances exceeding the framework (if any).
Mr. N.A.D was recruited as a civil servant in the education sector in October 2020. Thus, when appointed to the professional title, if he has paid 60 months (5 years) of compulsory social insurance (excluding probationary period), he will be entitled to seniority allowances for teachers. The time of consideration is from October 2022.
