In Thu Duc City, there are 3 secondary schools admitted using a competency assessment survey test, including: Tran Quoc Toan 1, Hoa Lu and Binh Tho.
Parents will register online to take the survey from 8:00 a.m. on May 12 to 5:00 p.m. on May 14, 2025. Submit documents from May 15 to 5:00 p.m. on May 17, 2025.
The survey exam is scheduled to be held on May 24, the exam is organized by the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City. The results are expected to be announced on May 30.
In the 2025-2026 school year, Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School will admit 9 grades 6 with 315 students (of which at least 4 are integrated English classes).
Hoa Lu Secondary School enrolls 7 grades 6 with 245 students (of which at least 2 are integrated English classes).
Binh Tho Secondary School enrolls 8 grades 6 with 280 students (of which at least 3 are integrated English classes).
In District 7, the competency assessment survey for admission to Nguyen Huu Tho Secondary School is scheduled to be held on May 31.
Admittees are students who have completed their primary school program, currently residing in the district, and have a score of 9 or higher on the final year of the 5th grade periodic test for Vietnamese and Mathematical subjects.
Parents will register to take the exam on the first-level admission page: https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn/khaosatlopbquan7 from 8:00 a.m. on May 13 to before 5:00 p.m. on May 16 to enter information, download and print the application to the primary school they are studying before 11:00 a.m. on May 17.
On May 22-24, parents received a survey card at the primary school they were studying in.
In Hoc Mon district, the competency assessment survey for admission to Nguyen An Khuong Secondary School will take place on May 30.
The Department of Education and Training of Hoc Mon district stipulates that parents register to participate in the survey at the first-level admission site from May 24 to 4:00 p.m. on May 27.
The condition for participating in the survey is that students who have completed the primary school program in Hoc Mon district and students who have completed the primary school program elsewhere, currently residing in Hoc Mon district, must have a final exam score of grade 2 in 5 subjects of Vietnamese, with a Math score of 9 points or higher.
In the 2025-2026 school year, Nguyen An Khuong Secondary School will recruit 280 students.
In District 1, Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School plans to recruit 350 6th grade students for the 2025-2026 school year.
The survey exam is expected to take place in June 2025. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will be responsible for the work of developing questions, organizing the review and grading of entries.
Last school year, Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School had a record high competition rate of 1/12.
The survey for grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School consists of two parts: multiple-choice and essay.
The multiple-choice section, candidates will do a survey of 20 questions in English. The content of this section is about understanding natural science, social science and common life in 30 minutes.
For the essay section, the contestants will do the test for 60 minutes. The content includes a survey of English proficiency in listening, reading comprehension, writing skills; a survey of Mathematical proficiency and logical thinking; a survey of reading comprehension and writing proficiency (this part of the candidate's exam in Vietnamese).
