In the atmosphere to celebrate the great holidays of the nation, under the direction of the General Department of Politics of the People's Army of Vietnam, the People's Army Newspaper in collaboration with the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Military Publishing House and the relevant units organized the review and award of the Party's "Protection of the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation" in the 4th time tonight (15.5), at the Hanoi Opera House.
Attending the closing, awarding the contest were former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh. Attending were the Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of Propaganda Department and Central Committee Nguyen Trong Nghia; Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the General Department of Politics of the People's Army of Vietnam; General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, General Staff of Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of Defense.
The summary and award ceremony was combined with reports and revolutionary songs praising the glorious Party, great Uncle Ho, and the love of the homeland, with the participation of famous artists.
At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To - Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, Head of the Contest Steering Committee - said that the contestants will be more diverse. This year, there are more than 500 entries from more than 50 press agencies.
Many works have a new, deeper approach, the content is both combating, theoretical, educational, and has a more vivid way of expressing the message, contributing to improving persuasion, positively affecting readers' confidence in the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The Organizing Committee awarded 30 outstanding works including: Central Press Award; Local Press Award; Award for Magazine, including: 3 A prizes, 6 B prizes, 9 C prizes and 12 Encouragement prizes. The organizing committee also decided to reward 3 groups of press agencies with many quality works participating in the contest.
In particular, 3 A Prize belongs to the works: "Type of integrity, knowing the face and reputation before the people are the political responsibility of the current cadres and party members" (Central Newspaper) of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trong Chuan; "The personnel work of the Party Congress at all levels - the task is particularly important, determines the strong and strong development of the country" (magazine block) by author Nguyen Manh Tuan (Journal of National Defense); "Return to light" (local newspaper) of the author of Hong Hong Phuc - Tran Thu Hang (Dien Bien Phu Newspaper).
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee launched the 5th Writing Contest "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation" (2025-2026).
