On October 25, Hanoi College of Arts coordinated with the Directorate of Vocational Education (Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) to organize a scientific seminar with the topic: "Current situation and solutions to improve training quality in cultural and artistic schools at present".
At the seminar, Dr. Vu Tien Dung - Principal of Hanoi College of Art emphasized the importance of this event, not only as an opportunity for schools to learn from experience but also to strengthen solidarity and development in the context of global integration.
At the same time, the Principal of Hanoi College of Arts also expressed his hope that art training institutions need to join hands to find practical solutions to improve the quality of education.
In addition, it is expected that the Ministry of Labor, War invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and provincial authorities will support in overcoming the difficulties that cultural and artistic schools are facing.
At the seminar, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Viet Huong - Deputy Director General Directorate of Vocational Education emphasized the goal of "Sharing Economy - Sharing Knowledge", encouraging art schools to innovate and update trends to save themselves in the integration period.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Huong also emphasized the support from the Directorate of Vocational Education in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, especially prioritizing the development of digital transformation and building open learning systems. Hanoi College of Art is expected to pioneer in digital transformation and share teaching methods, as well as student data warehouses to help them access the labor market effectively.
Representatives from Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture and Arts; Thua Thien Hue College of Culture and Arts; Dong Nai and many other institutions also contributed enthusiastic opinions.
The schools agreed to strengthen cooperation and exchange of lecturers and students between regions to accurately disseminate specific arts such as Cheo, Tuong, Ca Tru, and Don Ca Tai Tu. At the same time, they shared the difficulties in recruiting students, especially for heritage arts that are at risk of fading away, and the autonomy mechanism and remuneration for lecturers, staff and workers is also a challenge.
Mr. Do Dinh Hong - Director of Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism acknowledged the opinions at the seminar and committed to thorough research. He emphasized the importance of employing talents, developing creative cultural industrial zones and elevating performing arts; exploiting the unique values of each art profession.
At the end of the discussion, Dr. Vu Tien Dung - Principal of Hanoi College of Art - summarized the contributions and acknowledged the concerns of the delegates. At the same time, he pledged to continue to make efforts in finding practical solutions to overcome common difficulties.
The Principal of Hanoi College of Art also called for more attention from leaders at all levels, creating conditions for art schools to fulfill their mission of training high-quality human resources for the country.
