HCMC establishes inspection team for extra teaching and learning

The Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ho Chi Minh City and districts in Ho Chi Minh City have begun a plan to inspect schools and facilities for extra teaching and learning.

On February 27, a leader of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that the Department will establish 5 inspection teams on the implementation of extra teaching and learning according to Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT.

Accordingly, 5 inspection teams will conduct inspections of public schools at secondary and high schools, and extra-curricular institutions in 22 districts on the management of extra-curricular teaching and learning inside and outside schools.

These inspection teams will conduct inspections of whether life skills centers comply with licensed content or not.

Along with that, districts in Ho Chi Minh City have also established inspection teams for extra teaching.

The Department of Education and Training of District 10 said that it will inspect the implementation of regulations on extra teaching and learning at public schools in the district in March and April 2025.

The inspection content revolves around the responsibilities of heads of units in implementing regulations related to all cadres, teachers, employees and students, parents of students; The organization of the implementation of the contents is specifically regulated in Circular No. 29/2024/TT-BGDDT and related directives.

In addition, it is the direction and organization of activities: training excellent students, preparing for grade 9 students to prepare for the entrance exam to grade 10 and activities to prepare and support students with unsatisfactory academic results.

The Department of Education and Training of District 7 has also issued a document, deciding to establish a team to inspect the responsibility of principals in organizing the implementation of the 2018 General Education program; management of extra teaching and learning; management of life skills education activities, STEM education, teaching English to foreign teachers; activities of clubs, extracurriculars, happy schools...

The inspection period is from February 2 to March 3.
