Donating Vietnamese bookshelves in the Russian Federation

Vietnam Education Publishing House has just held the launch ceremony of the "Vietnamese Bookcase" at the Russian-Vietnamese Cultural Center, under Herzen National University of Education.

The event marks a new chapter in promoting Vietnamese knowledge, culture and language to the world.

The carefully selected books include: Vietnamese books; books on culture, traditions, history, and geography of Vietnam; books for children; and also introduce to Russian students a set of Russian textbooks (from grades 3 to 12) being organized and compiled by the Vietnam Education Publishing House (NXBGDVN).

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Vinh Thai - Editor-in-Chief of NXBGDVN - emphasized that the construction of the "Vietnamese Bookcase" at a prestigious cultural center like Herzen National Pedagogical University is clear evidence of the commitment to enhance the position of Vietnamese education and publishing on the world map.

Mr. Thai also said that NXBGDVN is promoting strategic cooperation with the Russian-Vietnamese Cultural Center, not only stopping at book displays but also aiming to organize seminars and workshops on educational innovation, student exchange and promotion of Vietnamese literature to Russian readers.

Mr. Vyacheslav Kalganov - Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of St. Petersburg - expressed: "These books are not only learning materials but also a priceless cultural bridge".

Ms. Mai Nguyen Tuyet Hoa - First Secretary of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia - emphasized that bringing textbooks and curriculum of NXBGDVN into the cultural center will greatly support the teaching and learning of Vietnamese, contributing to maintaining cultural identity for the young generation of overseas Vietnamese and introducing it to Russian friends.

After the award ceremony, the "Vietnam Bookcase" sponsored by NXBGDVN will be put into use to serve students, lecturers and researchers on Vietnam in Russia. Students of universities such as Herzen, the Russian People's Friendship University (RUDN) and the Russian National Economics University (HSE) have had the opportunity to immediately access these high-quality books.
