Cultivate soft skills while waiting for high school exam scores

Completing the 2026 National High School Graduation Exam, Nguyen Ngoc Thao My (student of Chau Van Liem High School, Can Tho City) seemed to shed her psychological burden. For My, the long sleepless nights with homework have receded, giving way to feelings of nervousness waiting for the results.

The female student also believes that summer vacation is a precious time, if you know how to take advantage of it, it will be a solid stepping stone for the luggage to enter university and life.

Through research, I learned that soft skills, especially communication skills, are like the'key' to help new students quickly integrate into the new environment" - My shared.

In fact, changing from high school learning to self-study and group discussion methods at university will be a big challenge for many new students. If they are not skillful in communication and know how to behave, they can easily fall into a state of being lost.

Understanding this, My, like some 12th grade students in Can Tho, has designed a methodical transition roadmap for herself.

In the immediate future, My plans to rest, watch movies, play with family, friends,... in a "as relaxed as possible" state to restore energy. Immediately after that, My will actively look for soft skills courses through lectures on social networks.

For Thao My, cyberspace is not only for entertainment but also an open treasure trove of knowledge, where she receives advice on time management skills or critical thinking.

I also set a goal to embark, actively participate in movement and club activities when I go to university to turn theory into confidence in real life" - My added.

It is known that My wants to become a student of logistics at a university in Ho Chi Minh City.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Hoang Anh (student of Chau Van Liem High School, Can Tho City) chose to expand his thinking through practical experiences.

Hoang Anh nurtures the intention to travel to the sea or mountains with his family. These trips are not only for sightseeing, but also for himself to have the opportunity to touch new lands, to understand more deeply about culture and geography.

Currently, my English skills are also basic, at a stable level. In the near future, I will learn and learn more Japanese. For me, knowing one more language is extremely interesting" - Hoang Anh said with a smile.

The male student acknowledged that, currently, Japanese is a fairly common language, reflecting the trend of integration and helping young people improve their competitiveness.
