Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade said that the school year warning for students is implemented according to each semester of the school year and applies to one of the following conditions:
Students with an overall accumulated average score of below 1.20 for first-year students, 1.40 for second-year students, below 1.60 for third-year students and 1.80 for students in the following and final years;
Students have an average score of less than 0.80 for the first semester of the course and less than 1.00 for the following semesters.
For students who have been warned about their first and second school days, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade recommends that students contact the department of industry management or study counselor for support and advice on their own study plans to improve their academic results in the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year.
Students will be removed from the school year warning list if the results of the next semester no longer violate the above conditions.
The school noted that students who have been warned about the school year 3 times in a row will be forced to drop out of school from the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year.
At the end of 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law also announced a list of students in regular classes expected to be warned to study and forced to drop out of school due to poor academic results in the second semester of 2023-2024.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Law said that students are warned to study based on a number of conditions such as the total number of credits not achieved in the semester exceeding 50% of the number of credits registered in the semester, or the total number of credits owed since the beginning of the course exceeding 24 credits; The average score of the semester is below 0.80 for the first semester of the course, below 1.0 for the following semesters; The average accumulated score is below 1.2 for first-year students, below 1.4 for second-year students, below 1.6 for third-year students or below 1.8 for students in the following years.
Students are forced to drop out of school in cases of repeated warnings of studying twice in a row; having study time exceeding the prescribed limit.
