In Decision No. 759/QD-TTg approving the scheme of arranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a model of two-level local government organizations, the Government has guided localities on the plan to reorganize the commune-level administrative units.
The project clearly stated that the total number of administrative units of communes and wards after arranging decreased to about 60-70% compared to the current number of administrative units at the current commune level in the province or city directly under the Central Government.
Immediately after the Central Government agreed to organize a two-level local government, down 60-70% of commune administrative units, April 15 and 16, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee conducted a meeting to discuss the plan of arranging administrative units at the commune level.
Talking to labor on April 15, Mr. Tran Dinh Canh - Director of Hanoi Department of Home Affairs said: "The spirit of Hanoi is to seriously obey the direction of the Central Government. In addition, Hanoi has specific features that will adjust."
These characteristics are based on the Capital Law; Resolution No. 15-NQ/TW of 5.5.2022 of the Politburo on the direction and task of developing Hanoi Capital until 2030, with a vision to 2045; Decision No. 1569/QD -TTg of the Prime Minister: Approving the planning of Hanoi Capital for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.
Mr. Canh informed that, on April 21, Hanoi will organize the people's opinion. On April 23, the commune People's Council will meet; On 24.4, the district People's Council meeting. On April 28, the Executive Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee will meet the plan. On April 29, the City People's Council will meet through the scheme.
