Foreign Trade University still considers 2025 transcripts

ANH ĐỨC |

Foreign Trade University has just announced the university admission method for 2025, in which high school transcripts are still considered.

Accordingly, the school plans to enroll 4,150 students at three campuses in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ninh. The admission groups include A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), D07 (Math, Chemistry, English), D00 (Literature, Math, Foreign Languages: English, French, Chinese, Japanese, Russian).

Regarding admission methods, Foreign Trade University remains stable as last year with 4 methods: Considering academic records; Considering high school graduation exam scores; Considering international competency assessment test scores and certificates; Direct admission.

With the admission method based on high school academic results (reviewing academic records), the school applies to 3 groups of candidates. One is candidates who won national excellent student awards or national science and technology awards. Two is students from specialized schools or national key high schools. Three is non-specialized students who won first, second, and third prizes in provincial/city excellent student competitions.

For each group of candidates, candidates can choose to be admitted based on their high school academic results according to the subject combinations (average score of 6 semesters of 3 subjects) or combined with international language certificates, depending on the training program.

However, the school applies a number of conditions that candidates must meet in each group of subjects, such as a total score of 3 graduation exam subjects of 24 or higher; achieving a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 and other equivalent certificates (if combined); 6 semesters of good academic performance and conduct of Fair or higher...

Meanwhile, the method of considering by high school graduation exam scores has 2 groups of candidates: candidates who only use graduation exam results and candidates who combine graduation exam scores and international language certificates.

For the admission group combining exam scores and certificates, the school sets out the following requirements: the total score of the 3 graduation subjects in the combination must reach the quality assurance threshold; have an IELTS certificate of 6.5 or higher and other equivalent certificates...

The third admission method is to use the competency assessment test scores organized by Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University and international competency certificates.

For the competency assessment test scores, the school requires candidates to have test results of 100/150 or 850/1200 points or higher.

As for the international competency certificate group, candidates need to consider combining this certificate with an international foreign language certificate. Students need to have an SAT certificate of 1380 points or higher, or an ACT certificate of 30 points or higher, or an A-Level certificate with a Math score of A or higher. At the same time, students need to submit an IELTS certificate of 6.5 or higher and other equivalent certificates.

Finally, there is the direct admission method according to the 2025 university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

In addition, candidates also need to pay attention to the school's detailed requirements on foreign language certificates, input quality thresholds, training programs corresponding to the admission target group...

The school further announces that the school's admission review period is implemented according to the general regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. The thresholds to ensure input quality for each group of subjects can be adjusted to suit the regulations and actual situation.
