Universities need a clear roadmap
At the end of May and the beginning of June, Hanoi Law University - Vietnam National University, Academy of Journalism and Communication, Hanoi Open University, Hanoi Capital University, Hanoi Procuracy... simultaneously announced that they would not consider admission for high school graduation exam results according to the C00 combination with majors of Journalism, Law, Psychology, Public Relations...
Ms. Le Thi Hai Anh - Geography teacher, Thang Long High School said that changing the admission combination too close to the exam is unreasonable: "The fact that some universities "turn around" so quickly makes it impossible for students to get back in time, especially students pursuing majors such as Law, Journalism... Because the majority of students choosing this major follow the C00 block".
Ms. Le Thi Hai Anh also believes that universities need to have a clear adjustment roadmap, notifying at least one year in advance so that students can orient the appropriate exam combination right from the beginning, avoiding confusion.
"You should not be too confused. Currently, there are still many schools and majors enrolling students in grade C. Students should continue to pursue the goals they have chosen from the beginning, stay calm, confident and try to review well to achieve high results and enter the school they love," said Ms. Anh.
On June 6, the Ministry of Education and Training issued an official dispatch requesting all universities to review admission methods and combinations, ensuring fairness, transparency and a clear explanation of changes in admission.
Students confused, unable to find a new direction
As a student who wished to go to social training schools in Hanoi, Nguyen Vu Bao Vy, a student at a high school in Hanoi, felt quite uncomfortable adjusting her study plan during the current recess.
I am completely unprepared for the changes of current schools. I have spent a lot of time and effort to review in the best way, most of the universities that I wish to study are those that are considered for the C00 block, but now they are not considered anymore.
Currently, there are only 20 days left, moving to another block, the blocks have English, but I myself cannot keep up, because English is the subject that needs a lot of time for me to review and improve", said Nguyen Vu Bao Vy.
Similarly, Nguyen Ngoc Linh Nhi - a 12th grade student at Hoa Binh La Trobe High School said that she has focused on C00 since grade 10. Therefore, as soon as I received the latest admission information, I could not help but worry.
I hope that universities will consider and make decisions to change so that we, the candidates, are less disadvantaged. Because the number of candidates choosing C00 is not small. - Linh Nhi shared more.
