On the afternoon of June 12, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City organized a conference to announce decisions on personnel work. Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City chaired the conference. Also attending the conference were Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation.
At the conference, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City announced the decision on receiving the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Workers' Counseling and Support Center and the decision to appoint the positions of director, deputy director, and chief accountant of the center.
Accordingly, Mr. Phung Thai Quang, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, was appointed concurrently to hold the position of Director of the center from June 1st and two Deputy Directors of the center, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thao and Mr. Pham Huu Quoc Huy; Ms. Vo The Hanh held the position of chief accountant of the center.
This is the largest Trade Union Employee Counseling and Support Center in the country currently with more than 150 employees.
Speaking to assign tasks, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized that the center must quickly complete the apparatus, firmly grasp the situation of workers and trade union organizations at the grassroots level to both serve and coordinate to build grassroots trade unions better and better.
In addition to building and proposing a plan to orient the development of the Center into an effective and sustainable non-business unit, organizing good activities, the Center needs to have specific programs and activities to care about the material and spiritual life of workers. Along with that, effectively implement training, fostering, and improving the capacity of the staff to successfully complete assigned tasks.
On behalf of the collective of officials and employees of the center, Mr. Phung Thai Quang committed that the team of officials and employees of the center will be united, unified, quickly stabilize the organizational structure, effectively exploit available conditions and facilities, and at the same time ensure the core function of representing, protecting, and caring for workers.
The Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Workers' Counseling and Support Center will be a companion, reliable and solid support for union members and workers in the City," Mr. Quang emphasized.
The Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Workers' Counseling and Support Center (Address: 37 Han Thuyen, Saigon Ward) is a unit implemented under Decision No. 2619/QD-UBND dated May 5, 2026 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
The Center was established on the basis of reorganizing units directly under the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, including: Trade Union Social Work Center; Thanh Da Trade Union Hotel Guesthouse; Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Workers' Resort (old); Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation Legal Consulting Center; Binh Duong Trade Union Legal Consulting Center.
