The International Journal of Business and Sustainable Economics (JBSE) focuses on the fields of business, economy, startups and sustainable development, aiming to become an academic exchange forum for scientists, experts and policymakers.
The journal is published 4 issues per year according to the Open Access model, applying a two-way closed critical process. The Editorial Board includes scholars from many universities and research institutions at home and abroad. Professor Boris Popesko takes on the role of Editor-in-Chief.
According to the school, JBSE was born in the context of economic and business issues increasingly associated with social responsibility, adaptability and sustainable development. The journal aims to publish research with reliable methods, while having practical implications, contributing to connecting academic research with sustainable development requirements.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Rector of Ton Duc Thang University, said that the value of a scientific journal is formed from the quality of works, seriousness in criticism, integrity in publishing and the ability to create useful academic dialogues.
According to Mr. Tran Trong Dao, JBSE will focus on 3 priorities including academic quality, international standards and professional identity.
The school aims to include the journal in international scientific databases such as Web of Science and Scopus, but determines that this is the result of a substantial and long-term development process.
The launch of JBSE is in line with the development orientation of science, technology, innovation and education of the school, associated with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW and the Development Plan of Ton Duc Thang University for the period 2025-2030.
Since 2017, Ton Duc Thang University has built and developed scientific journals in English. In which, the Journal of Information and Telecommunications is currently indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus; the Journal of Advanced Engineering and Computation is scored by the State Professors' Council in the field of Mechanics.
The school said that the experience from the development of previous journals will be used to operate JBSE according to international scientific publishing standards. The school also commits to ensuring resources, facilities and an academic environment for the journal to operate stably, while maintaining professional independence.
