Hanoi Medical University has just announced enrollment information for 2026.
Enrollment information for Hanoi Medical University in 2026
This year, the school increased the medical major quota at Hanoi Medical University to 450 at the main campus and 150 at Thanh Hoa Branch.
In addition, for the first time, the radiation therapy medical imaging orientation program was widely deployed with 50 targets at the main facility in Hanoi.
The next noteworthy new point is that this year, Hanoi Medical University stopped using the C00 combination (Literature, History, Geography) for Psychology after two years of piloting; adding bonus points up to 1.5 points for international foreign language certificates.
Sharing about the new points in the enrollment of Hanoi Medical University this year, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Dinh Tung - Vice Rector of the school - said that the decision to increase the quota for the medical major is a key solution to concretize Resolution No. 46-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
This is an inevitable roadmap to reach the milestone of 19 doctors per 10,000 people by 2030, affirming the pioneering role of the school in providing a team of professionally skilled and highly ethical doctors for the cause of people's health care.
The school is committed that, in parallel with increasing scale, the goal is to maintain and improve the quality of training. Along with the clinical block, the school is also strongly innovating the public health and preventive medicine doctor training program to concretize the Party and State's guidelines on grassroots health, focusing on preventive work in the new situation.

With the policy of prioritizing candidates with foreign language certificates, Mr. Tung said that this is a commitment to the goal of "training a team of globally integrated doctors and medical staff".
Regarding the admission combination, according to Mr. Tung, although the C00 block benchmark score is always outstandingly high, the actual academic results of this group of students are somewhat more limited compared to the groups admitted through natural science combinations.
In the orientation of in-depth development in Clinical Psychology, the knowledge base of block C00 is not really compatible with the training program" - explained the Vice Rector of Hanoi Medical University.
On that basis, the school switched to focusing on the combinations: A01, D01, D07 and D10. The requirement that each combination must have Math or Literature accounting for at least 1/3 of the total score is a prerequisite to ensure input quality.
The expected tuition fee for the 2026-2027 academic year of Hanoi Medical University for Medicine is 74.8 million VND/year and for Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery is 80 million VND/year. Majors under the bachelor's system have tuition fees ranging from 19.1 to 53.2 million VND/school year depending on the level of autonomy of each affiliated unit.
With the philosophy of not letting any medical talent stop in front of economic barriers, Mr. Tung said that the school continues to maintain a policy of allocating 10% of tuition revenue to student support funds. In which, 8% is prioritized for scholarships to encourage learning and especially 2% is for the "I love Hanoi Medical University" Fund - an initiative directly initiated, established and promoted by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Tu - the school's Rector.
Emphasizing that medicine is a specialized training major, lasting at least 10 years, Mr. Tung advised candidates not to choose a major just because of fame or family pressure.
Ask yourself about compassion in the face of the patient's pain; because if you lack true passion, you will easily give up halfway" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Dinh Tung advised.
