Hanoi Department of Education and Training has guided units to strengthen the management of revenue and expenditure for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Accordingly, public educational institutions are only allowed to collect fees according to regulations and are not allowed to set fees themselves or force students and parents to contribute in any form.
Services serving and supporting educational activities at public schools are implemented according to Resolution 60 of the Hanoi City People's Council. The Resolution stipulates the ceiling level for fees, applicable to public preschool, general and continuing education institutions, excluding high-quality public schools.
According to the resolution, semi-boarding meal fees are collected at a maximum of 20,000 VND/student/day for breakfast and 35,000 VND/student/day for lunch.
The semi-boarding care fee has a ceiling of 235,000 VND/student/month.
Equipment costs for semi-boarding, including tools, supplies, shared items and personal belongings, are regulated at a maximum of 200,000 VND/student/school year for preschool children and 133,000 VND/student/school year for primary and secondary school students.
