School in Gia Lai speaks out about student accused of high school graduation exam cheating

Gia Lai - Tuy Phuoc High School No. 1 affirmed that the reflection accusing candidates of using phones in the high school graduation exam at the school's exam site is unfounded.

On July 13, Tuy Phuoc High School No. 1 reported to the Department of Education and Training (GDĐT) of Gia Lai province on the results of verifying citizens' reflections related to the organization of exam supervision at the school's exam site.

Previously, on July 10, the school received a complaint that candidate T.G.H - a 12A3 student - used a mobile phone during the Physics and Chemistry exams at the 2026 High School Graduation Exam. And the complaint also said that there were candidates in the same exam room as witnesses.

Through verification, in the 2025-2026 school year, candidate T.G.H achieved excellent academic performance. The average scores of registered subjects include: Math 7.4; Physics 8.6; Chemistry 8.3 and Literature 7.6.

The high school graduation exam results of this candidate achieved: Math 6.25; Physics 9.5; Chemistry 9.25 and Literature 4.25.

According to the report, throughout the exam period, the exam site of Tuy Phuoc High School No. 1 strictly implemented the High School Graduation Exam Regulations and directives and instructions from the Education sector. The organization of exam supervision was implemented in accordance with regulations.

The school did not record any cases of officials performing exam duties or candidates violating the regulations; all exam sessions at the exam site did not have any cases of violating the Exam Regulations.

From the verification results, Tuy Phuoc High School No. 1 concluded that the content reflecting that candidate T.G.H used a mobile phone during the Physics and Chemistry exam was unfounded.

Previously, on the afternoon of July 12, the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province also announced the results of verifying the contents of reflections and denunciations related to signs of fraud at the exam sites of Van Canh Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary and High School and Nguyen Thai Hoc High School No. 1.

Through inspection, the Provincial Department of Education and Training determined that during the exam period, both exam sites did not record any cases of violations of the Exam Regulations.

As Lao Dong newspaper has reported, from July 10, many articles reflecting and denouncing some candidates showing signs of fraud in the 2026 High School Graduation Exam have appeared on the social network Threads.

In which, some accounts said that candidate T.G.H, taking the exam at the exam site of Tuy Phuoc High School No. 1, used a phone during the Physics and Chemistry exams.

Another account reflected that candidate N.T. Tr - a 12A10 student of Nguyen Thai Hoc High School No. 1 - secretly brought a smartphone into the exam room to look up answers.
