Previously, an anonymous Facebook post on parent groups expressed concerns about the quality of meals at the school. The post included a picture of a rice tray with white rice, a few slices of pork sausage and stir-fried cabbage, saying that such a meal was not nutritious enough for students. The poster also reflected that students are often given rice cakes, ice cubes, and tofu as meals, and rarely eat yogurt from big brands.
On the afternoon of April 8, Ms. Lan confirmed that the above information was not accurate. She said that the photo was posted on March 25, taken when the staff had not yet finished dividing the food. In fact, that day's meals included rice, pork chops with soy sauce, sour soup with fish cakes, la gim stir-fried with lean meat, rice cake dessert and stewed congee with green beef and beef.
"The rice has always been a source of nutrition for the students. If anyone wants to eat more, they are still supported," Ms. Lan emphasized.
The Principal of Nui Thanh Primary School also said that the school has never received any reflection from parents about boarding meals. With about 1,200 semi -boarding students, the fee is VND 31,000/child/day (28,000 VND for meals, 3,000 VND) used by the school to ensure the quality of meals and raw materials that are closely checked at the school's kitchen. The daily menu is publicly listed at the notice table and the school's website.
"The school is always ready to welcome parents to visit their children's meals at any time without having to announce in advance," Ms. Lan affirmed.
Ms. Lan added that the school is considering reporting to the authorities about posting unverified information, affecting the school's reputation.
