Candidate P.M. T asked: When registering aspirations on the Ministry of Education and Training's enrollment portal, do candidates have to choose the admission method or will the system automatically choose the most beneficial method?
On the Government Electronic Information Portal, the Ministry of Education and Training said that Point 4, Article 14 of the Regulation on enrollment for training majors at the university level and preschool education majors at the college level in Circular No. 06/2026/TT-BGDDT dated February 15, 2026 of the Minister of Education and Training (Enrollment Regulations) stipulates:

4. Candidates express their wishes to register for admission on the System as follows:
a) Priority order of aspiration (number 1 shows the aspiration with the highest priority order);
b) Selecting training institutions, enrollment units (school codes);
c) Select the training program (admission code).
According to point 4, Article 15 of the Enrollment Regulations:
4. After each admission cycle, the training institution uploads the list of candidates expected to meet the conditions for admission to the training program (according to the admission methods) to the System. The System automatically removes from the list the low aspirations of candidates who meet the conditions for admission to many aspirations and returns the list of candidates expected to be admitted according to the highest aspirations.
The training institution is responsible for fully reviewing the information in the enrollment information with the highest expected candidate admission results according to aspirations after each time the System returns the results of the aspiration processing".
Thus, candidates only need to register their aspirations, training programs, and admission schools, and do not have to register for admission methods. The common admission support system will process to determine the highest aspirations that candidates are eligible to pass in the most beneficial method for candidates.
