Regarding the case of a teacher punishing a student for self-injecting a needle in his hand at Luong The Vinh Primary School, in an exchange with reporters, the leader of Ben Cat Ward People's Committee said that the ward is considering handling the role and responsibility of the head for the incident that occurred at the unit.
The Ward People's Committee also continues to thoroughly and strictly grasp and request schools in the ward to seriously implement the provisions of the Education Law, the code of conduct for teachers and related legal regulations.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that on April 15, there was a stir online about the incident of some 3rd and 6th grade students being punished by teacher L.T. M by having to self-inject needles into their hands. Immediately after receiving the feedback, the school board worked with teachers and parents, determining that 5 violating students had been punished by self-injecting needles into their hands.
At the meeting, the teacher said that she had bought a needle to use for her sick child. The next day, the teacher put it on the table and said to the students: "Anyone who violates or is not well-behaved should take the needle and inject it into their hand, I don't inject it into their hands".
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hanh - Principal of the school, this is an act of violating professional ethics, infringing upon the health and body of children. Teachers are seriously wrong, thinking distortedly about children's education methods, violating children's rights.

The school's disciplinary council met and determined that Ms. L.T. M had violated the regulations on the code of conduct of teachers. The school's disciplinary council decided to discipline Ms. L.T. M with a warning and assigned her to be in charge of the Equipment Department.
According to records, recently, 3 incidents occurred at Luong The Vinh Elementary School, causing parents to worry. At the end of January 2026, a case occurred of 90 kg of frozen pork that had changed color and was being smuggled into students' kitchens; at the end of March 2026, parents continued to reflect online about students who did not eat semi-boarding being kicked out of school and standing in the sun. By mid-April 2026, another incident occurred where teachers punished students by self-injecting needles into their hands.
