On May 29, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training coordinated with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to organize the Summary and Award Ceremony of the contest "Youth in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style".
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 90 individual final round prizes. Of which, there are 3 first prizes, 9 second prizes, 18 third prizes and 60 fourth prizes.
Each contestant who wins the first prize will receive a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training and a bonus of 5 million VND. At the same time, the 3 best contestants also received a prize of 160 million VND from the contest accompanying unit.
Individuals who win the Second Prize will receive a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training along with a prize of 3 million VND. The third prize winner was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union with 2 million VND. Individuals who win the Fourth Prize will also receive a Certificate and a prize of 1 million VND.
In addition, at the ceremony, the Organizing Committee also awarded 30 collective prizes to the units with the highest percentage of students participating in the exam.
Winning the first prize of the contest, Nguyen Minh Anh - a 2nd year student at Foreign Trade University - shared: "The contest helps me to be more profound in my thinking and responsibility in my actions. From there, I have more motivation to research and learn about Uncle Ho's life and revolutionary career, and better understand his teachings to the younger generation".
According to statistics, the contest recorded 63/63 provinces and cities actively participating. Of which, there are 482 higher education and vocational education institutions with more than 1.8 million candidates registered to take the exam.
Mr. Hoang Duc Minh - Director of the Department of Students (Ministry of Education and Training) - emphasized: "The contest is one of the healthy and useful playgrounds to enhance the education of revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle and arouse the desire to contribute to today's youth and teenagers".
Director Hoang Duc Minh also praised the spirit of 90 students, staff, teachers, and youth who have excellently surpassed more than 1.8 million candidates to be present in the hall. At the same time, encourage candidates to continue to strive and practice.
After 10 times of organization, the online contest "Youth in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" continues to have many innovations in the tournament structure of the rounds and improve the effectiveness of candidate supervision.
In the coming time, the Organizing Committee of the contest will research and innovate methods to expand scope, diversify test questions, help candidates demonstrate their understanding and lessons learned from President Ho Chi Minh.
