Building more boarding schools in Dak Lak opens up the future for students in remote areas

Dak Lak - The construction of more boarding schools is to meet the learning needs of more than 1,290 students who are children of ethnic minorities in border areas.

On March 19, functional agencies of Dak Lak province organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the 5th Inter-level Boarding School in Ea Bung border commune.

Attending the ceremony were Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung, along with the Central working delegation and leaders and representatives of departments and branches of the locality.

This is the 5th inter-level boarding school project implemented in the commune, with a total investment of about 250 billion VND from central and local capital sources. The school is built on an area of about 6 hectares in hamlet 1, to meet the learning and living needs of more than 1,290 students who are children of ethnic minorities in the border area.

From early morning, a large number of people in Ea Bung commune were present at the groundbreaking location. Ms. Tran Thi Nuong (50 years old) said that people are very excited and happy when the Party and State invest in building a modern school, helping children in remote and isolated areas have the opportunity to study in a better environment.

We are very touched and happy about this important event. This is a dream school for people in border areas," Ms. Nuong shared.

Previously, on November 19, 2025, the locality simultaneously started construction of 3 inter-level boarding schools in Ia R've, Ia Lop and Buon Don communes, with a total investment of more than 390 billion VND.

In which, the school in Buon Don has an investment of more than 158 billion VND; Ia R've more than 126 billion VND; Ia Lop about 105 billion VND. When completed, the schools will meet the learning and accommodation needs of more than 3,000 students in border areas.

By February 11, 2026, another multi-level boarding school in Ea Rok commune will be started, built on an area of nearly 6ha in hamlet 8. The project has a scale of 18 classes, including 10 primary and 8 secondary schools, along with items such as classrooms, libraries, multi-purpose buildings and modern boarding areas, with a total investment of 150 billion VND.
