The construction site is located on the side of Pham Ngoc Thach street. A section of road about 200m from Binh Duong General Hospital to National Highway 13 is fenced with 3 car lanes on each side. Currently, vehicles can only circulate in 1 lane in each direction.
Inside the construction site, the contractor has gathered excavators, drills, and concrete pile driving machines. Engineers and workers are deploying the first items of the project.

According to the design, the underpass will be built from Pham Ngoc Thach street across National Highway 13 to Huynh Van Cu street.
The underpass project builds a reinforced concrete tunnel with a vertical clearance of 5 m. The length of the closed tunnel is about 630 m, scale of 4 lanes, width of 22.4 m. The design speed for the underpass is 40 km/h.
In addition to building the underpass, the side of Huynh Van Cu street is also clearing ground to build a 230m long access road to the tunnel. Households have dismantled the works on both sides of Huynh Van Cu street to hand over the ground for construction. Currently, some works on public land are also waiting to be dismantled and handed over.
According to records, this is the first underpass project across National Highway 13 (section through old Binh Duong province) to be built. The underpass project is considered the optimal solution to reduce traffic congestion in the Phuoc Kien intersection area.

It is known that the Phuoc Kien five-way underpass project has a total investment of 1,050 billion VND. The project is invested by the Binh Duong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board. Construction units include: Consortium of Bac Trung Nam Infrastructure Construction Joint Stock Company - Cienco4 Group Joint Stock Company - Rong Viet Trading Construction Investment Co., Ltd. - Vinh Hung Consulting and Construction Trading Joint Stock Company - Muoi Duc Joint Stock Company.
