On December 29, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City issued a warning about the appearance of some fan pages and websites impersonating VNU-HCM to carry out illegal recruitment and charity appeal activities.
According to VNU-HCM, in the past time, a number of fan pages and websites have appeared impersonating units, using the names, logos and images of VNU-HCM to post recruitment information, mobilize donations, causing serious misunderstandings in the community.

Notably, these fake websites also require candidates or users to pay money, participate in surveys and carry out some procedures that are not in accordance with the official recruitment process of VNU-HCM, and at the same time call for donations with untrue content.
VNU-HCM affirmed that these are violations of the law, affecting the reputation of the unit.
VNU-HCM emphasized that all official information related to recruitment, activities and programs of the unit is only posted on the website and official communication channels of VNU-HCM.
Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City recommends that parents, students and people need to be vigilant, absolutely do not provide personal information, do not transfer money and do not participate in any activities originating from fake fan pages or websites.
When detecting suspicious signs, people need to verify information through official channels of VNU-HCM or report to functional agencies for timely handling.
