On the evening of November 18, a photo of a female student being beaten by a group in the restroom of a vocational school in Dong Hoa ward, Ho Chi Minh City appeared on social media.
The female student was grabbed by a group of 4 friends wearing school uniforms and pulled down to the toilet floor. This group of students punched the female student repeatedly and in the head. This female student could only hold her head and endure the beating.
During the time the female student was beaten, some students stood watching, some stood guarding and some recorded the video.
Ms. L.T.H (born in 1981, residing in Thuan Giao Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said that the female student beaten in the online image was her daughter, named T.L.T.L (born in 2009 - studying in the second year of food processing at the Department of Tourism, CNC D.A College).
According to Ms. L.T.H, after her daughter finished grade 9, she went to the above college to study both intermediate vocational skills and general cultural knowledge.

The incident of a student being beaten occurred on August 22, a group of 4 students rushed in to beat student L in the head and foot. After being beaten, this student had a ring in her ear and could not hear, and was frightened and had to go to a medical facility for examination and treatment and stay out of school for 10 days.
Talking to reporters, the leader of Dong Hoa Ward People's Committee said that the incident occurred in August 2025 and had been handled.
According to Ms. L.T.H's family, after the incident, the school and the authorities in Dong Hoa ward stepped in to handle the incident. However, after watching the 2 videos and seeing that L was beaten very severely, Ms. L.T.H's family was not satisfied with the handling and settlement of the units. The family hopes that the school and the authorities will handle it strictly according to the provisions of the law to prevent school violence.
