Da Nang deals with high parking fee debt

Nguyễn Linh |

On October 10, the Department of Transport of Da Nang City informed that many vehicles parked their cars but did not pay the parking fee according to regulations.

Previously, the Inspectorate of the Department of Transport of Da Nang City coordinated with the City's Traffic Infrastructure Management Center to review vehicles with high fee debts at the end of July.

After checking, it was discovered that many vehicles parked on Bach Dang and Tran Phu streets but did not pay parking fees according to regulations, and owed fees for a long time, causing difficulties for the unit to collect fees.

After working, the vehicle owners and drivers with high debt have committed to fulfilling their obligation to pay parking fees with a total amount of more than 30 million VND. At the same time, these vehicle owners have also signed a record of paying the fees in full, without any violations during their next visit.

The Department of Transport is assigned to manage and collect parking fees on Bach Dang and Tran Phu streets from 2021 to present.

The Department of Transport has recommended that car owners install the My Parking application to make parking reservations, pay parking fees and repay car parking fees on Bach Dang and Tran Phu streets.

Also today (October 10), the City People's Committee requested units to tighten state management in road transport business activities, training, testing, granting driving licenses, and health checks for drivers. Strengthen inspection, examination and strict handling according to the law for organizations and individuals violating road transport business activities.

Strengthen patrolling, controlling and handling of violations of traffic safety and order, strictly handle violations that are direct causes of traffic accidents in automobile transport business activities. Organize investigation, prosecution and trial of traffic accidents, especially traffic accidents with serious consequences, especially serious ones related to road transport business activities.
