Due to the high traffic volume, the damaged locations are increasingly peeling seriously, the "potholes" are gradually breaking into "buffalo holes" that are eating food in the middle of the road. Currently, many locations are still covered with plowing wheels without asphalt, causing the road surface to be covered with gravel and slippery.
The damage and deterioration of many points on Bao Loc Pass is posing a potential danger and a high risk of traffic accidents for people and vehicles traveling through the pass. For heavy trucks, tractors, containers, and passenger cars when traveling through damaged locations, the vehicle will be tilted and shaken.
Meanwhile, motorbike drivers are always at risk of falling, especially at night.
Faced with the damage and deterioration at many locations on Bao Loc Pass, Madaguoi Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police) has conducted a survey to propose the authorities to repair and overcome the problem. Thereby, ensuring safety for people and vehicles when traveling through the pass.
Currently, National Highway 20 in general and Bao Loc Pass in particular are under the direct management of the Office of Road Management Area IV.1 (Vietnam Road Administration). 886 Thanh Nam Construction Investment Company is the unit responsible for maintaining National Highway 20 through Lam Dong province, including Bao Loc Pass.
On the morning of August 2, through discussion, a representative of Thanh Nam 886 Construction Investment Company said that the unit is conducting a survey of damaged and degraded locations on Bao Loc Pass to conduct patching and repair in the coming time.
Bao Loc Pass is located on National Highway 20, in Bao Loc Ward 3 and Dai Huoai 2 Commune (Lam Dong Province). This is a vital pass connecting Lam Dong province with Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City, which is extremely important in connecting traffic and promoting the socio-economic development of Lam Dong province. The pass is about 10 km long with many winding, dangerous curves, and frequent accidents.
