At 10:00 AM on February 17 (the 1st day of Tet), Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 under the Traffic Police Department, Lam Dong Provincial Police organized patrols and alcohol concentration checks according to the peak plan to ensure traffic order and safety during Tet.

Phan Thiet Traffic Police Team set up a checkpoint at Ton Duc Thang - Hung Vuong roundabout, Phu Thuy ward - an area with high traffic volume, especially many tourists traveling in spring.
At the checkpoint, functional forces randomly stopped cars and motorbikes to measure alcohol concentration. Many cars of tourists traveling to Mui Ne spring were inspected.


People's motorbikes going to wish Tet are also required to stop for inspection to ensure traffic safety. In addition, technology motorbike taxi drivers and cargo transporters, taxis are also subject to inspection.

According to records, within 1 hour, functional forces stopped hundreds of vehicles. All people and tourists complied with the inspection request. In addition to setting up checkpoints, the Traffic Police also combined mobile patrols.
Most of the measurement results did not detect alcohol concentration violations. Only 1 case, Mr. T.T. C (born in 1996), was found to have alcohol concentration in his breath, was recorded and the vehicle was temporarily seized according to regulations.


Major Nguyen Huu Tuong - Road Traffic Police Team No. 3, Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police said that, implementing the direction of superiors to prevent traffic accidents caused by alcohol consumption, the working group has deployed alcohol concentration tests in the area.
Inspection shows that people and tourists basically comply well with the regulation not to drive vehicles after drinking alcohol, although violations are still detected and handled according to regulations.


Mr. Nguyen Van Tam - a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City - shared after being checked: In the morning of the same day, his family went on a spring trip to Mui Ne. With his wife and children in the car, he always complied with regulations when participating in traffic, especially not using alcohol and beer to make the spring trip complete.

Checking alcohol concentration right from the morning of the 1st day of Tet contributes to raising awareness of traffic law compliance, ensuring safety for people and tourists traveling and enjoying spring, and limiting the risk of accidents during the peak Tet holiday.
