On February 16, Da Nang City Police said that, implementing the direction of the Director of Da Nang City Police, in the first 2 days of the Binh Ngo Tet holiday 2026 (December 27 and 28 of the lunar calendar), the Traffic Police Department of Da Nang City Police simultaneously launched patrols, inspections, and strictly handled violations of traffic safety and order, focusing on alcohol concentration violations.
Task forces are deployed on many key roads in Da Nang, especially in the central area, where people gather to celebrate Spring and welcome Tet.
Through inspection, the traffic police force discovered and made records of handling 201 cases of alcohol concentration violations; in which there were many cases of high-level violations, posing a potential risk of serious traffic accidents. All violations were strictly handled according to the provisions of law.
In the coming time, the traffic police force throughout the city will continue to strengthen inspection and handling with the spirit of "no forbidden zones, no exceptions". At exactly 10 am on the 1st day of Binh Ngo Tet 2026, the entire traffic police force will simultaneously launch a campaign to check alcohol concentration on all routes and areas of the city.
Traffic police of Da Nang City Police recommend that when using alcohol and beer, do not drive; choose a safe means of transportation to ensure safety for yourself and the community, contributing to maintaining traffic order and safety during Tet.
