Hanoi - Provincial Road 427 will be less congested after the project to build a new route for Road 427 and Duong Truc Nguyen overpass is completed and technically opened to traffic.
In 2018, Hanoi People's Committee approved Thuong Tin district as the investor to renovate, refurbish and construct the new route of Highway 427.
The project is 1,570m long with 4 lanes, starting from Thuong Tin High School to near Khe Hoi intersection, in Thuong Tin town and Ha Hoi commune.
Immediately after the city assigned the task, the People's Committee of Thuong Tin district focused on directing specialized agencies and the People's Committee of Ha Hoi commune and the People's Committee of Thuong Tin town to carry out site clearance according to regulations.
Up to now, the project has basically completed the items and is waiting for the overpass at the intersection of Provincial Road 427 with the North-South railway and National Highway 1A (Duong Truc Nguyen overpass) to be completed for connection.
The Duong Truc Nguyen overpass project has a total investment of 283 billion VND, of which construction costs are more than 228 billion VND and other costs, from the budget of Thuong Tin district.
The project is 590m long (overpass length 284m, the rest is the length of the retaining wall and the bridgehead road), the bridge cross-section is 16m, meeting 4 lanes. The scope of the bridgehead road is designed according to provincial road 427.
According to the contract signed between the investor and the contractor, the project will be implemented within 335 days (11 months), starting from May 2024. The project is expected to be completed and put into use in 2025.

Photo: Huu ChanhMr. Le Van Huy (34 years old, Thuong Tin) said that in addition to traffic jams, trucks forcing motorbikes to the side of the road has become a “daily occurrence” here. Many drivers also honk their horns loudly, startling motorcyclists. “People living on both sides of the road witnessing these “evil spirits” every day are becoming more and more afraid of these “evil spirits”, constantly worrying that accidents could happen at any time,” said Mr. Huy.In the photo is the intersection of the new route project of Provincial Road 427 and the existing Road 427 (Ha Hoi Commune, Thuong Tin, Hanoi).
