Mr. Dang Hoang Vinh - Director of the Expressway Management Board (under the Can Tho City Construction Investment Project Management Board - investor of Component Project 2) - said that according to reports from localities, the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project Phase 1, Component Project 2 section through Can Tho City, has about 1,054 affected cases, the total resettlement demand is about 182 plots.
To date, the project has paid compensation to 1,031/1,043 cases with a value of VND 994.936 billion, reaching a rate of 98.85% of the total approved cases, the remaining 12 cases have not received compensation with an amount of VND 9.379 billion.

For technical infrastructure works (medium-voltage, low-voltage and water), approved with a total value of VND 31.720 billion; of which VND 28.016 billion has been transferred to units.
According to the investor, the component project 2 through Can Tho City still has 4 locations of high-voltage power lines that have not been relocated. Meanwhile, other items such as medium and low voltage power, water supply and drainage pipes and telecommunications have basically been relocated.
For the energy project (high-voltage power line), there are 3 220kV lines (managed by Power Transmission Company 4 and Power Transmission of the Western Region 1) and 1 110kV line (managed by Can Tho Power Company) affected by the project, with the affected length having to increase the clearance and relocate about 1,000m.

In particular, Vinh Thanh district is involved in a 110kV high-voltage power system at Km61+845; The District People's Committee has issued a Decision with a value of 4.060 billion VND, expected to complete the relocation in the second quarter of 2025.
Co Do district is stuck with 2 locations of 220kV high-voltage power lines at Km74+440 and Km76+216; has had the results of the inspection, completing the agreement with Power Transmission Company 4. expected to complete the relocation in the second quarter of 2025.
Thoi Lai district is stuck with a 220kV high-voltage power line at Km91+076, currently with the results of the inspection and completion of the agreement with Power Transmission Company; the relocation is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2025.

The Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway is being accelerated with the goal of completion in June 2026. However, the high-voltage power line is still stuck in 4 locations in Can Tho City, affecting the progress of handing over the construction site for the road package.
In this situation, the investor has requested the People's Committees of Vinh Thanh, Co Do, and Thoi Lai districts to direct the District Project Management and Land Fund Development Board to speed up procedures, to soon sign a construction contract to relocate the high-voltage power line with relevant units and relocate outside the site, and promptly hand over the construction site in the area.
Regarding the Component Project 3 section through Hau Giang province, the leader of the Provincial People's Committee informed that up to now, 100% of compensation, support, and resettlement work has been completed, and the entire project area has been handed over to the contractor for construction. Component project 3 does not pass through high-voltage railway lines. For the medium-voltage and low-voltage lines, the investor has coordinated with local power to complete the relocation.
The Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang (horizontal) expressway project phase 1 is over 188km long, passing through 4 provinces/cities: An Giang, Can Tho, Hau Giang and Soc Trang. The total investment of the project is about 44,700 billion VND.
