Since mid-October 2024, the Thanh Xuan District government (Hanoi) and local residents have dismantled many structures on Nguyen Tuan Street to hand over the site for the project to expand this road.
According to Lao Dong's records on November 24, most of the constructions on Nguyen Tuan Street have been cleared, such as the section from Nguyen Trai intersection to apartment building 47 Nguyen Tuan, and the section from Nguyen Huy Tuong intersection to alley 162 Nguyen Tuan.
The constructions from the apartment building at 47 Nguyen Tuan to 99 Nguyen Tuan are in the process of being dismantled. There are still 2 households in the project area that have not yet dismantled the related constructions.
"Next week, we are expected to work specifically with the People's Committee of Thanh Xuan Trung Ward to make a plan to clear the remaining constructions," said the leader of the Thanh Xuan District Construction Investment Project Management Board.
Vice Chairman of Thanh Xuan District People's Committee Le Hong Thang said that one of the key tasks in 2024 of Thanh Xuan District and Thanh Xuan Trung Ward is to focus on implementing the project to renovate and expand Nguyen Tuan Street according to the planning.
To date, the site clearance work for the Nguyen Tuan Street expansion project has been completed. It is expected that by December 2024, Thanh Xuan District will begin construction of the Nguyen Tuan Street expansion, striving to complete the project and put it into use by mid-2025.
After completion, Nguyen Tuan Street expansion is expected to help reduce traffic congestion in the area, beautify the urban area, and contribute to the socio-economic development of Hanoi in general and Thanh Xuan district in particular.
The project to renovate and expand Nguyen Tuan Street has a total investment of nearly 400 billion VND. To implement the project, Thanh Xuan District must reclaim 14,334 square meters of land related to 11 organizations and 160 households and individuals.
The project is 720m long, starting at the intersection with Nguyen Trai Street, ending at alley 162 Nguyen Tuan, with a cross-section expanded to 21m, including a 15m wide roadway and 2 sidewalks each 3m wide.
