Hanoi begins to expand main road to 40m, capital of 3,300 billion

Hanoi - Contractors have begun construction to expand Tam Trinh Street in locations where the ground is cleared.

The Tam Trinh road construction investment project was approved by the Hanoi People's Committee in 2012, with a total investment of VND 2,066 billion.

The invested construction route is about 3.5km long, starting point connecting with Minh Khai street, ending point intersecting with Ring Road 3.

The project started in 2016 and was expected to be completed after 3 years, but was delayed due to difficulties in site clearance.

By December 2023, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a decision to adjust the project, increasing the investment capital to VND 3,354 billion, an increase of VND 1,287 billion. At the same time, the project implementation period was also adjusted from 2016-2026.

Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Vu Tuan Dat - Director of the Hoang Mai District Land Fund Development Center - said that the Tam Trinh Road construction project has a total land acquisition area (after adjusting the boundary) of about 54,009 m2, involving about 1,590 households and 20 organizations, located in the area of 3 wards: Mai Dong, Hoang Van Thu and Yen So.

Regarding the progress of site clearance, Hoang Mai district has so far approved all plans of the organizations. Most of the organizations have received money and handed over the site for the project.

For land of households and individuals, local authorities have approved nearly 400 plans.

Hoang Mai District Land Fund Development Center and wards have conducted investigation, counting, and verification of time, origin, and land use process for the remaining cases.

Hoang Mai District strives to complete the approval of compensation, support, and resettlement plans when the State reclaims land to implement the Tam Trinh road construction project by the end of 2024 (3 months later than the district's plan).

According to Mr. Vu Tuan Dat, there are currently 4 locations on Tam Trinh Street that have clean land with relatively large areas for contractors to carry out construction of some items of the project.
