Recently, functional units have relocated hundreds of trees to implement the Tam Trinh Road Construction Investment Project (Hoang Mai District, Hanoi).
According to Lao Dong's records on September 25, the work of moving and relocating trees on Tam Trinh Street (along the sidewalk adjacent to Kim Nguu River) has been basically completed.
According to research, there are more than 400 trees on the sidewalk of Tam Trinh Street within the project implementation boundary. Of these, more than 200 trees were relocated to new locations.
These trees are of many types such as banyan, purple-flowered lagerstroemia, banyan, bodhi, milk flower, muong, barringtonia, royal poinciana, tamarind... and are growing normally.
Notably, more than 180 trees, including many urban trees with large diameters and many years of growth, were cut down, including species such as the Indian almond, Lagerstroemia, cotton, banyan, gao, hoa sua, muong, xa mat, phoenix, and sau sau trees...
The reason for cutting down a large number of trees during the Tam Trinh Road Expansion Project is that these trees were found to have rotten roots, rotten trunks, crooked, and broken tops...
Regarding the implementation of the Tam Trinh Road Expansion Project, the People's Committee of Hoang Mai District said that recently, the district has directed functional departments and 3 wards including Yen So, Hoang Van Thu, and Mai Dong to speed up the site clearance progress, basically completing it before October 1, 2024.
According to the People's Committee of Hoang Mai district, to implement the project, it is necessary to reclaim land related to 811 residential plots, 800 agricultural plots, and 20 organizational plots.
After having the site, the contractor will focus on construction and strive to basically complete the expansion of Tam Trinh Street by 2026.
According to Lao Dong's research, the Tam Trinh Road construction investment project was approved by the Hanoi People's Committee in 2012.
The invested construction route is about 3.5km long, starting point connecting with Minh Khai street, ending point intersecting with Ring Road 3 with a total investment of 2,066 billion VND.
The project started in 2016 and was expected to be completed after 3 years, but until now it has not been able to be constructed for many reasons, the biggest difficulty of which is site clearance.
By December 2023, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a decision to adjust the project, increasing the investment capital to VND 3,354 billion, an increase of VND 1,287 billion. At the same time, the project implementation period was also adjusted from 2016-2026.
After being expanded, Tam Trinh Street will have a 40m cross-section with 6 lanes, expected to reduce traffic pressure on the main roads at the southern gateway of the capital.
